If your parents got mad at you as a child for spilling soda, you probably know that sugary drinks attract ants and can cause a whole lot of hassle when the stain is left alone. However, did you know that Coca-Cola can also be used to repel some insects? Some gardeners have been using soda as part of their routine for years. Leaving a bowl of Coke in your yard will ensure snails and other pests set their eyes on that rather than on your precious plants.

You can also use Coke as a wasp trap in the summer. Lastly, if all this wasn’t impressive enough, did you know that some Indian farmers use Coke as a pesticide in their fields? Pretty neat, right?
