Tearing off a sheet of aluminum foil is a dangerous game. After all, the roll can easily slip out of place, which is the last thing anyone wants when handling a package with a serrated edge. So it made us wonder why the manufacturers never came up with a solution to the problem. It turned out that they actually did, but we never really knew about it.

The ends of the aluminum foil boxes come with tiny tabs that have perforated edges. Just punch in those tabs, and they'll keep the tube in place.
