Wroclaw, Poland

Wroclaw in Poland is an overlooked European gem, especially for travelers on a budget. In fact, Poland in general is not often thought of as a fantastic travel destination which is a shame because it’s packed to the brim with things to do. History students in particular will appreciate the chance to visit one of the country’s many museums and heritage sites - admission rates are as cheap as $5 per ticket. The public transport system is also super affordable and, in spite of its age, it’s pretty cheap as well. In general, you can get away with spending less than $40 per day.

Of course, cuisine is always an important factor for any budding traveler to consider, and the food on offer here is a lot more diverse than other European countries. Make sure you try out a Milk Bar, a local favorite.
