A Whole Fossil Found in the Desert

Whale fossils aren't unusual, and archaeologists have uncovered many of them over the years. But what is unusual is finding a whale fossil in the middle of the Sahara Desert. After all, this desert is miles and miles away from any form of ocean. So, how did the fossil end up somewhere so dry and arid? These are the sorts of things that make us question the desert even more.

Evidence suggests that this whale fossil is over one million years old, which suggests that a million years ago the Sahara Desert wasn't a desert at all. Instead, it was covered in water.
