West New York, New Jersey

Most people can't afford to live in the state of New York, which is why New Jersey seems like such a good option for commuters. In fact, workers could travel from West New York to Manhattan in just over 40 minutes! But while the rent is certainly cheaper, that doesn't mean that living here will make you happier. 22% of the people who live here live below the poverty line, and it's apparently very dirty.

As well as having trash all over the place, those who live in West New York also state that parking is a nightmare - with cars here, there, and everywhere. But you can't deny that it's convenient for those who work in the Big Apple.
