An American Insists on Renaming Iconic Blue Mosque to Red Mosque

The Blue Mosque in Turkey is a famous destination, but apparently, not everyone understands why it’s called “Blue.” This guy, for instance, believes that the mosque should be called “The Red Mosque.” Why you ask? Despite the blue tiles covering the walls and the roof, the red carpet that lines the entire floor makes it look red to him! The thousands of tourists who visit the mosque yearly may disagree with this opinion, but we have to give him points for creativity.

Maybe next time, he can visit at night and finally see the blue hue, or he can stick to the “Red Mosque” and see if that catches on!
