They Call This Spot the Devil’s Cave

The Devil’s Cave, orLa Cueva Del Diablo, lies just east of the city of Potosi in Bolivia. In 1737, Bartolomé Arzáns de Orsúa y Vela encountered a demonic presence in this spooky ravine. Jesuit priests drew an image of Saint Bartholomew on the rocks, expelling Lucifer back from whence he came. The cave gets its name from a dark streak on the rocks, said to have been left by the devil as he fled back to hell, where he belongs.

To this day, the Chapel of San Bartholomew sits 100 meters (330 feet) up the ravine, directly above the cave.Wouldn't it be cool if the church featured an express elevator to hell?
