Why Didn't It Just 'Work'?

Sometimes there's really nothing you can do and that negative review is going to be written whether you bend over backward or not. This next one is a good example of this. Someone staying at a hotel wrote a review, complaining that "I couldn't call reception from my cell phone. They told me I could just press 9 and it didn't work". Now, they obviously tried calling reception from their cell phone after this by pressing 9, but that's not really how phones work.

The receptionist meant that they had to press 9 on the phone that came with their room. Assuming anything other than that is just being petty after a certain point.
