Searching Rome For 'Authentic' Mexican Food

While Rome, and Italy in general, is known for its authentic Italian cuisine, this person apparently got tired of eating Italian food all the time and wanted to try something else. However, when they went to a Mexican restaurant expecting to find "authentic" Mexican food, they were a little bummed out. They wrote a review that read: "We went to a Mexican restaurant in Rome and the waiter was Italian. You assured us Italy was the best place for an authentic experience".

Now, besides the fact that someone was searching for Mexican waitstaff in Italy, it's perfectly possible to get "authentic" culinary experiences even if the waitstaff isn't from the same country as their cuisine. Some of the best French cuisine chefs out there are Mexican and we're sure vice versa.
