Many people dream of one day moving to the Golden State, with so many amazing cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco calling this state their home. But, sadly, the same can't be said for Emeryville. Often considered to be one of the worst places in America, Emeryville is home to just 12,000 people, and many of those people want to leave. After all, the crime rate is much higher than average.

According to census data, Emeryville residents have a 1 in 70 chance of being a victim of physical crime and a 1 in 6 chance of being a victim of property crime! Those aren't good odds.
